Elis Deghenghi Olujić è ordinaria di Letteratura italiana e Letteratura per l'infanzia alla Facoltà di Studi Interdisciplinari, Italiani e Culturali dell'Università Juraj Dobrila di Pola (Croazia). Per lunghi anni è stata direttore del Dipartimento di Studi in lingua italiana e Prorettrice alla ricerca dell'Università Juraj Dobrila di Pola (2013 - 2017). E' autrice di recensioni, prefazioni, di numerosi saggi scientifici e di critica letteraria pubblicati in volumi e riviste, e curatrice di antologie. Il suo campo di ricerca privilegiato è la letteratura istro-quarnerina e la produzione letteraria degli italiani che vivono in Croazia e Slovenia. In riviste, miscellanee, atti di convegni ha pubblicato saggi incentrati sull'analisi e il commento critico delle opere di autori istro-quarnerini e su problematiche riguardanti la letteratura istro-quarnerina e triestina.
